Bellyitch: Inside Amber Rose's 2nd Baby Shower

If you are fortunate enough while pregnant, you may get more than one baby shower hosted by another family member or friend. That's exactly what happened this Wednesday, December 9th when Amber Rose's "mother-in-law" to be hosted a baby shower for her. Rose had a fab, fun-filled, colorful shower only two days before.

How fun! For my first kid, I had a total of three baby showers. My husband's family in New York City threw one for me, my bff from law school hosted one at her condo with all of our law school gal pals and close friends of mine and my husband's also hosted one with my sisters for our DC-based friends and family. Much love.

Anyway, I digress. Good thing Amber and fiance Wiz Khalifa enjoy sharing their joyful moments with their millions of followers on Twitter and Instagram (Rose & Wiz's) , because they have provided us all ample images to ooh and ahhh at! Enjoy! ?

Panasonic debuts new Windows 8 Toughpad

While consumers may have mixed opinions about the features offered by Windows 8, computer and tablet makers were pushing a ton of devices with the OS at the Consumer Electronics Show this year. Panasonic was no exception, backing-up its 20-inch monster tablet with a new 10.1-inch Toughpad running Windows 8.

This Toughpad FZ-G1 tablet is geared more towards businesses, but consumers can get their hands on one when it releases in March, provided they are willing to drop the hefty US$2,900 price. Panasonic is also releasing a more affordable Android version of the device, which comes with a $1,300 price tag and a February release window.

The Windows version of the tablet comes with some serious specs that should be more than suitable for professionals that need a device they can beat on. It comes with Windows 8 Pro, a 3rd Generation Intel Core i5-3437U vPro processor, 128-256 GB SSD, 4-8 GB of RAM, and a 10.1-inch screen. Connectivity-wise, it comes with USB 3.0 and HDMI ports, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and the option to add cellular data.

Handwriting recognition on the new WIndows 8 Toughpad

The Android version is running Android 4.0 on a TI OMAP4460 1.5 GHz dual-core processor. It has 16 GB of internal memory, 1 GB of RAM, and support for microSD cards. While not as much of a beast as the Windows 8 version, both have passed MIL-STD-810G test for 4-foot drops, fluid ingress and temperature, so they should be able to take a beating and keep on working. This is the same testing method used by the US Department of Defense.

Panasonic is aiming high with these tablets, hoping to hold 50 percent of the rugged tablet market by 2015. Having used both models, they were easily the most functional rugged tablets on the show floor, but the price tag limits the potential market a great deal.

(Reuters) - The U.S. Department of Homeland Security urged computer users to disable Oracle Corp's Java software, amplifying security experts' prior warnings to hundreds of millions of consumers and businesses that use it to surf the Web.

Hackers have figured out how to exploit Java to install malicious software enabling them to commit crimes ranging from identity theft to making an infected computer part of an ad-hoc network of computers that can be used to attack websites.

"We are currently unaware of a practical solution to this problem," the Department of Homeland Security's Computer Emergency Readiness Team said in a posting on its website late on Thursday.

"This and previous Java vulnerabilities have been widely targeted by attackers, and new Java vulnerabilities are likely to be discovered," the agency said. "To defend against this and future Java vulnerabilities, disable Java in Web browsers."

Oracle declined to comment on the warning on Friday.

Java is a computer language that enables programmers to write software utilizing just one set of code that will run on virtually any type of computer, including ones that use Microsoft Corp's Windows, Apple Inc's OS X and Linux, an operating system widely employed by corporations.

Computer users access Java programs through modules, or plug-ins, that run Java software on top of browsers such as Internet Explorer and Firefox.

The U.S. government's warning on Java came after security experts warned earlier on Thursday of the newly discovered flaw.

It is relatively rare for government agencies to advise computer users to completely disable software due to a security bug, particularly in the case of widely used programs such as Java. They typically recommend taking steps to mitigate the risk of attack while manufacturers prepare an update, or hold off on publicizing the problem until an update is prepared.

In September, the German government advised the public to temporarily stop using Microsoft's Internet Explorer browser to give it time to patch a security vulnerability that opened it to attacks.

The Department of Homeland Security said attackers could trick targets into visiting malicious websites that would infect their PCs with software capable of exploiting the bug in Java.

It said an attacker could also infect a legitimate website by uploading malicious software that would infect machines of computer users who trust that site because they have previously visited it without experiencing any problems.

They said developers of several popular tools, known as exploit kits, which criminal hackers use to attack PCs, have added software that allows hackers to exploit the newly discovered bug in Java to attack computers.

Security experts have been scrutinizing the safety of Java since a similar security scare in August, which prompted some of them to advise using the software only on an as-needed basis.

At the time they advised businesses to only allow their workers to use Java browser plug-ins when prompted for permission by trusted programs such as GoToMeeting, a Web-based collaboration tool from Citrix Systems Inc.

Adam Gowdiak, a researcher with Polish security firm Security Explorations, subsequently said he had found other security bugs in Java that continued to make computers vulnerable to attack.

Java suffered another setback in October when Apple began removing old versions of the software from Internet browsers of Mac computers when its customers installed new versions of its OS X operating system. Apple did not provide a reason for the change and both companies declined comment at the time.

(AP) ? Britney Spears announced Friday that she has ended her yearlong engagement, capping a week of changes that included her leaving "The X Factor" and promising fans she was returning her focus to music.

Within hours of confirming her departure from the Fox reality series, Spears also announced that her relationship with talent agent Jason Trawick had ended.

"Jason and I have decided to call off our engagement," Spears said in the statement. "I'll always adore him and we will remain great friends."

Spears' publicist Jeff Raymond said the breakup was a difficult decision made by "two mature adults."

"I love and cherish her and her boys, and we will be close forever," Trawick said in a joint statement that was first reported by People magazine.

Trawick also resigned his role Friday as a Spears' co-conservator, with Superior Court Judge Reva Goetz approving his departure from the case.

Spears and Trawick got engaged in December 2011 and he was added as her co-conservator in April.

Spears, 31, has been under a court-supervised conservatorship since February 2008, with her father and another co-conservator, Andrew Wallet, having control over numerous aspects of her personal life. The case was opened after several incidents of erratic behavior by the pop singer and a pair of hospitalizations, but Spears has recovered and she appeared weekly on "X Factor."

She said in a statement that judging young talent made her miss performing. "I can't wait to get back out there and do what I love most," she said in a statement.

Her father Jamie Spears met with Goetz for about an hour on Friday but left before a hearing where Trawick's resignation was announced.

Trawick has served as Spears' agent and the pair started dating in 2009.

Trawick did not have authority over Spears' finances, which have rebounded since her public meltdown. Goetz recently reviewed and approved of an accounting that showed Spears ended 2010 with more than $27.5 million in assets, including nearly $15 million in cash.

Attorneys handling the case are expected to file updated financial statements in the coming months.
